Painted from scratch using PS CS2. I wasn't diligent about keeping track how long I worked on this, but it is in the ball-park of 40+ hours. This is the first time I have attempted anything this epic and I am not a fast painter to begin with...! Downloadable size is 50% of original painting size, to give you an idea of the scale I was working on.

No real story behind the particular person... a LOT of story behind the rider's people and the world they live in.

I used a DA stock image as reference for the rider - the name wasn't saved, if anyone recognizes it & knows who it is please let me know so I can credit for the great reference. :)

I love this picture not only because I like horses and horse riding,but because it`s really amazing. You managed to catch the movement by the way you have drawn sand, in horse`s crest and tail, and also I admire this beautiful detailed background.

Thank you so much for the support! :hug: This is a huge first for me - lately I have noticed a real turning point is the effort and detail I am wanting to pour into my works... it is just a matter of keeping my focus on just one long enough to finish them, rather than keep getting distracted by new and exciting ideas before I can resolve the others... ;)
