EDIT: WOW! The chick on the left is the only one left to be finished! Here is Zandrakyr Vi'Valdi (middle) and Lillian (right).
~*~*~*~*~
Some things I've been working on lately... I'm learning a LOT as I go, so constructive criticism is extremely appreciated!
This will go into scraps once they've all been completed. I'm proud of myself for having finished Zan and Lillian - I didn't let myself work on anything else until they were (aside from Alissandra), which was more difficult for my 30-minute-attention span than anyone could guess!!!
For the most part, I'm trying out a technique where you shade in greyscale and then put color over the top of it... All of their faces are done using that technique, but I'm just kinda wingin' it with their hair...
#1: I had been intending for the brown-haired one to be a quickie with lines (as can be seen HERE) but I got a bit carried away.... I have no reference for her hair, so we'll see how that goes...
#2: The hair is completely different (and no longer blue!) in the final version and I'm much more happy with it. The textures on the clothing turned out delicious. YAY!!!
#3: The face needed a lot more work before I was happy, and I think the end result was great. The hair turned out easier than I thought it would!

OOoo really pretty I have to admit that the girl on the right looks a lil like Amy Lee from Evanescence (a lil anyway LOL) I like the guy and I think your worrying about nothing .. your winging it (as you put it) really came off well I know you may not have any reference apart from fantasy drawings on the internet or the like but this really does work well the proportions are really cool and the collar/hair really does work .. great lil devs and would love to see the end product
Yeah, I can see the Amy Lee thing! ~Wintermoon-Stock has some really gorgeous model stock that I was happy to have found... Thanks so much for the encouragement on Zandrakyr in the middle there! I've worked on it a lot more since I've posted this and you're right, the proportions turned out ok afterall. It will be finished real soon now!
Thank you! I've taken a little break on it while I finish up some other pieces but I will definitely let you know as soon as I get back to it and finish it! Thanks again for the lovely stock images, you really do have some beautiful pictures in there.

Get your creative juices flowing and design a movie poster for "Paper Heart" that focuses on the theme "What Does Love Mean to Me?".
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
Hello there! This news article is the result of a thumb share thread I posted few days ago on the dA forum along with pictures from my favorites. I hope you enjoy them.
